I am running Netbackup 3.4.1 on a Tape SAN with 9840 tape drives which was
working fine until a couple of weeks ago when one of the tape drives was
replaced.

Test backup after it was changed worked ok BUT since that time I have
discovered that although backups work ok if you try and restore from the
tape if fails

We had the engineer swap two drives, the failing drive and one we knew
worked ok, however the backup/restore problem stayed at the same location
while the swapped failing drive worked ok, so this seems to rule out the
hardware.

Any ideas please
