I have implemented NBU on UNIX platforms and am used to setting up
client side exclude lists by creating an exclude_list.policy.schedule
file on the client; however I am now faced with trying to perform the
same task on a WIN2K NBU client and am not having any luck getting the
exclude list to take. I have used the "Exclude" tab on the given client
and specified a policy and schedule using the GUI and have also
specified my excluded file via the same interface. I click "OK" and the
client seems to be saving the config.

However, when I run the scheduled backup of a client within this
policy/schedule combination, NBU still does not exclude the files I
specified in the exclude list on the client. =20

I should also mention that this same client is referenced in another
policy & schedule (Type=3DSQL DB Backup). The SQL backups seem to be
working okay but I have other (non-SQL) data on the same file system
that the SQL database resides in that I am trying to backup with the
other policy. I am trying to get NBU to ignore the .mdf files. Using
the client exclude list and keep getting "Open File" errors on the mdf
files when the non-SQL policy backs up the same file system.
