Use #tpclean -L to list all drive name and info
Then use #tpclean -C drive_name to clean manually, after cleaning, netbackup
will unload the cleaning cartridge back to slot and reset the mount time
Ensure that u have cleaning cartridge remaining cleaning more than zero
Use #vmquery -m Cleaning_tape
cheers..

tpclean

The following initiates manual drive cleaning of drive1:

tpclean -C drive1

Or C:\PATH\veritas\volmgr\bin\tpclean.exe -C drive1 (if the Windows
environment variables have not be updated)

Good luck!

Hi,

I just went for Netbackup Datacenter 4.5 on Linux to Windows. Does anyone
know how to clean a tape manually on NBU 4.5 on Windows 2000 Professional? I
can't find the button anywhere and can't find the documentation on how to do
it on command line either. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chester

The command should be the mostly the same and is found in:

~VERITAS\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bpduplicate.exe

Scripting in windows, on the other hand, is a different story....
