Perhaps I am missing something, but why would you not just run:

      /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpbackupdb [-tpath 
tape_device_path  [-rv recorded_vsn]] [-nodbpaths] [-v] [path.. ]

right after your duplications are complete?
