Yes you can duplicate tapes with bpduplicate but someone else will have to
tell you how as I have not used it my self.

That could be an option, but if you use the bpbackupdb command, you are
still committed the 2 tapes you need to configure in the catalog
configuration. Ftp is another option, but not preferred.

There is no way to duplicate a catalog backup ?

You could schedule  /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpbackupdb to backup
the databases and transfer those tapes off site.

I personally run bpbackupdb to a disk location and then automatically ftp
that to a DR site each day.

What would be a good process to have daily catalog backups which can go
offsite ? The idea is to run a catalog backup after every daily or weekly
cycle and let the tape which was used for this catalog backup go offsite,
together with the normal backup tapes.
