Fred,

Run the command :

bpimagelist -L -backupid (backup_id)

This should give you all the information for Copy 1 and Copy 2..
There should also be a field for Primary Copy which should tell
the correct number.

The images on media is just giving the information on Copy 1. I'll verify
this when I go back in tommorrow. If after running
bpimage -npc 2 -backupid (backup_id)
does not show the Primary Copy: 2, then you should open a case up. I've ran
that command many times and have not experienced a problem.

When you try a restore from the image, does it still try to use the original
or Copy 1?

hope this helps...

Hello,

change the primary copy by entering the following command (all on one
  line):
  /usr/openv/NetBackup/bin/admincmd/bpduplicate -npc pcopy -backupid bid
  Where:
pcopy is the copy number you want to be the new primary.

This is the procedure that we followed. However, after completion of
the bpduplicate -npc 2 -backupid command, the primary copy
did not change to the new image. I was able to verify this by looking
at the images on media report. It identifies in one of the fields the
copy number. The command when executed does not give any errors.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Fred...
