using bpduplicate you need to change the primary copy reference.

bpduplicate -backupid $BACKUPID -npc 2

-npc 2 means that the second copy (copy 2) will now be the new primary copy,
so all restore requests should go there.

I hope this helps,

David

Subject: [Veritas-bu] restore question

Hello,

For a disaster recovery exercise, I have recovered our NetBackup databases
at an alternate site. I now want to restore my data. The restore obviously
calls for the original tape which I do not have. I have duplicates with
different bar code #'s. How do I resolve this?
