[Networker] Problems loading without mount on a storage node
2010-06-05 16:04:09
With regards to the j/b "load without mount (nsrjb -ln)", this essentially
tells the jukebox's robotic arm to grab a tape from one of the data slots and
put it into one of the drives in the jukebox.
The equivalent for a stand alone tape drive is just to manually load the tape
into the drive, i.e. by hand.
Once you manually insert the tape, then you mount the tape by using the nsrmm
command, or though the NMC GUI.
nsrmm -s (server) -m -v -f rd=(storage node):drive
NetWorker will then mount the drive and try to read the tape label.
If the tape volume is not in the media database, the you can label and mount
the tape using nsrmm again:
nsrmm -s (server) -l -m -v -f rd=(storage node):drive (tape label)
