Re: [Networker] Problems loading without mount on a storage node

If you are moving a non networker tape, an easier way could be
to use sji cmds.
sjirdtag <robotic path> lists you all available tapes and barcode.
Then you can use sjimm from node managing robotic arm
to move media from slot to drive (and back from drive to slot).
eg to load
sjimm [email protected] slot 4 drive 1
eg to unload :
from node reading/writing on tape
mt -f \\.\Tapexxxxxxx offline
then from node managing robotic arm
sjimm [email protected] drive 1 slot 4

Subject: [Networker] Problems loading without mount on a storage node
With regards to the j/b "load without mount (nsrjb -ln)", this essentially
tells the jukebox's robotic arm to grab a tape from one of the data slots
and put it into one of the drives in the jukebox.
The equivalent for a stand alone tape drive is just to manually load the
tape into the drive, i.e. by hand.
Once you manually insert the tape, then you mount the tape by using the
nsrmm command, or though the NMC GUI.
nsrmm -s (server) -m -v -f rd=(storage node):drive
NetWorker will then mount the drive and try to read the tape label.
If the tape volume is not in the media database, the you can label and mount
the tape using nsrmm again:
nsrmm -s (server) -l -m -v -f rd=(storage node):drive (tape label)
