Hello,
I'm testing our new library (Quantum Scalar i500 with 2 HP LTO4 drives
FC) in our new server (Windows Server 2008 x64).
After installing Windows + Updates to SP2, I've installed latest driver
of i500, HP tapes and Qlogic QLE2460 HBA.
Then, I've installed the same version of Legato we have in our actual
server (the server we want to replace with the new one).
I've loaded and imported 20 LTO4 tapes in the library (all of the are
new, not used yet). I've done an inventory. All of them have a barcode
label and none a volume label. It's OK. When doing this inventory I've
got a lot of device/media errors. Suspect.
Then, I've tried to label the tapes and assign them to the Default pool
WITHOUT SUCCESS. I get a lot of device/media errors and the tapes are
set in 'service' mode after the 21 error (I'm attaching a log window
snapshot).

Any idea about what to check for to see if is a hardware problem (the
library is new but it can be defective), tape problem (I've tested more
than 20 tapes all with the same problem) or software (Legato + Windows +
Drivers).
