This depends on how heavily utilized your tape drives are. I have four IBM
LTO-3 drives in a single library that get moderate usage. I have set up
NetWorker to clean them once a month. The cleaning cartridges I use are good
for 50 cleanings. I have never seen a cleaning cartridge indicate its good
for a variable number of cleanings. You are probably better off calling HP
to ask what they recommend.
