Answering myself here. Did some investigation and the
data files in Sybase has a .dat ending, not a .rec as the
CFI:s.
This would confirm what I have heard earlier: The new database
format was entirely brewed up by the guys at Legato and is
really just a way of using the filesystem as a database
engine by using flat files. This is very clever as the very rare
crashes in the CFI after the change confirms.
