One at a time... Disk to tape cloning results in completely
unmultiplexed savesets on tape.

All of these questions are essentially the same thing... Prior to 7.3
adv_file devices support only one read session at a time, either a
restore or a clone, other requests queue. From 7.3 onwards there is no
limit to the number of restores in parallel with a cloning operation. I
have not yet tried running more than one clone at a time though.

restore so that if cloning or staging is taking place, and I initiate a
restore, then the restore will start and the cloning /staging will
pause.

No, unless you run 7.3+

What sort of LTO (1 2 or 3?) 10MB sounds about right for LTO1.
the bottleneck for cloning from disk is usually the tape drive. However
with LTO3 drives being as fast as they are you may find the bottleneck
is disk read speed...
