But what would happen if we re-used that IP address (the one in the
nsrla.res file) on a new client?

At some point, it will get used again. The ip address for the client
itself, though, will probably remain in use on that client longer than
the one that's being used as part of the resource id will remain unused.
Would the algorithm that NetWorker uses to generate that from the IP
produce the same number again? Does it store that on the server
somewhere, too?
