Hi

Anyone got anyt clues as to why I get atrocious performance from
SnapImage to backup a volume on a NetApp filer usign NDMP and teh NDMP
Tape Server built into SnapImage. It wouks, but slowly (a few hundrek
k per sec, everything on gigabit).

The syntax I'm using is

nsrndmp_save -T dump \
 -c filerX -LL -l full -N please_go_faster -s my_server /vol/vol0

I "guessed" -T dump via trial and error, it's the onlky oprtion I
found taht works so far.

The attached device is LTO, and I get reasonable speeds from other LAN
clients (normal clients, like Solaris, Linux, ....)

Is there any better docs for SnapImage thahn the install and admin
guide? Other environment variables that might matter?

I am using "Sun StorEdge (tm) Enterprise Backup 7.1 Build 325", and
SnapImage v1.6 on Solaris 9.

Kevin
