Greetings, I've read some of the archives regarding slow performance using
Legato, and haven't seen this particular case.

Environment: AS ES45 (Tru64 v5.1b) with StorageWork SAN, MSL5000 SDLT.
Networker version 7.1.1.

File System: 1.4 TBs with 46+M Files - Local to the Legato server - no
network involvement.

The backup starts out (started on Friday at 18:30) and goes along around 20-
22/MBs. Then proceeds to start slowing down (8-10/MBs); down to 96-450/KBs
since yesterday afternoon to currently.

It has actually been on the same 160GB tape since last night.

Are there any Legato tuning hints that could be of use with this file
system?

Thanks,
Randy

PS: This is the same file system that I had previously reported an Advfs
file domain crash on and subsequently receive an HP patch for the condition.
