Hi Networkers,
I have problem with index file, below is my networker configuration
- All server running W2K using DDS sharing with a HP SDLT drive.
- Server A : Backup server/Storage Node, Networker 7.0
- Server B : Client, Networker 6.2 (SAN Storage node)
- Server C : Client, Networker 6.2 (SAN Storage node)
- I installed the networker software to c:\program files\nsr
Three of the servers are grouped into Daily backup group, I changed the
index location for all servers from default location (C:\program
files\nsr\index)to d:\nsr\index.
Problem Statement:
"It happened only for Server A, Even though i have redirected the index
path from c:\ to d:\, Sometimes the index files went to c:\ drive, so I
have maintain 2 index files, unlucky my c:\drive is run out of disk
space"
Below additional finding:
- For server A, on networker Admin GUI, i found the index size of server
A is 0, it should be 8GB
- C:\>nsrinfo serverA.ind.root
scanning client `serverA.ind.root' for all savetimes from the
backup namespace
nsrinfo: cannot start session with server serverA.ind.root
nsrinfo: SYSTEM error: No such file or directory
- We have enough free space on D:\ drive
Anyone can help ??
Regards,
Hendra Riyadi
