We're running clients at a newer version than the server. Clients are
under 6.1 (I think) and server is running 5.5.2 and all seems to work
fine.

Hot line said me that it could be a problem.

I don't understand why this could be a problem. A well designed and
programmed software should detect versions of connected machines and
adapt themselves in order to continue to work despite of differences.
Eventually, user interface should show an alert message if difference of
versions could be a problem - networker software detect versions but
doesn't show any alert !

In a well designed/programmed software, this is a design requirement and
shall not be imposed to users. This is very important in the case of
security software as is the case of backup systems.

I'm tired of networker problems, mostly come from what I think is a poor
conception. I consider Legato Networker a bad software.

Usually, when you call hot line with a problem, they say it's a training
problem and they try to sell you a $3000 training... 8-)

I hope this is the last year we will be using Legato software.
