Hi Richard,
Windows System Account have no Network access to any network share (CIFS/NFS), 
it can only access to local attached devices.
If you start dsmserv.exe via command when you are logging as Administrator, the 
DD530 will work fine. But if you start dsmserv.exe as a service it will fail 
again.
My suggestion is that you change the "TSM Server1" service to use a Domain 
Admin Account. 
But make sure that Domain Admin account has read/write access to your DD530.

If your TSM Server is a Stand-alone machine without any access to the domain. 
Then make sure you have a similar account on the DD530, You need to use the 
same username and password.

But make sure you always use URL and not drive letters.

When you do the mapping, it's done with the rights you are logged in with
(Administrator).
The system account doesn't have the same rights (in fact it usually has NO
rights to use network resources) and that is the account the TSM server
service is using.

Go to Windows Services, look at the Properties of the TSM server service.
Change its logon to an account that has rights to the shares you need to
access, the restart the service.
