If you set the ARCHDELETE parameter in the register node command to yes, the
clients should be able to delete their own archived files. For already
existing nodes just enter

UPDATE NODE nodename ARCHDELETE=YES.

Subject: Delete command

I have a simple question, or so i hope.
I'm archiving, for an unlimited time, clients data through an IBM 3575
automated library and there is no problem in doing archive and retrieve
operation, the only probelm is this:
I have a fix number of volumes to use , 3, cause the others are needed
for incremental backups of the systems, when they become
full how should i do to delete selected FILES ??
I know the delete filespace command but it delete the whole space, while
i would need to delete only some files...
Also is this an option i can give to my clients ??
In this manner they will delete their useless files from the archive
keeping it enough free to work on.
Thanx to everyone, i've looked for 2 days trying to find this but.....
