Hi Robinson,

Of course, a DLT7000 drive can read a tape written by a
DLT4000 drive ! but be-careful, if you want to write on
this tape with the DLT7000, the DLT7000 drive will
write in the 20-40 Gb format !!
In order to write in the 35-70 Gb format on this tape
, you need to "broken" the density of the tape ; it depends of your OS
(Aix, Sun, NT...).
Of course, on a blank tape, the DLT7000 drive will
write in the 35-70 Gb format.
