The 7000's are backward compatable for reading. Just be carefull with the
upgrade. Check
the level of ACSLS (assuming your running it), if your running a version 2 ADSM
server MAKE
SURE it supports the 7000's if it doesn't now might be a good time to upgrade to
version 3.

the version 2 and acsls caught me making a 5 minute upgrade into a 2 week
restore of
a 16gig db, with adsm upgrade, with acsls upgrade.

Does anyone have experience with Data written to DLT tape from 4000 drives
and then upgrading a library to 7000 drives and still being able to read the
tapes.

Are the 7000's backward compatible?
We are going from STK 9730's to 9714's.

Thanks -
CR
