1. No currently there is no HSM client on HP-UX (see:
http://www.storage.ibm.com/software/adsm/adclhp.htm)
2. The IBM 3995 is not supported within ADSM for HP (see:
http://www.storage.ibm.com/software/adsm/adh0dev.htm)

By the way, I don't know what you want to do. The HSM data on the OS/390 is
part of the DFSMS and cannot be 'handled' by an HSM client on a UNIX machine.
The data is from two different worlds.

Hi all,
        I was a little confused after viewing IBM's ADSM Homepage, and
was wondering if you could clarify something for me.

We are wanting to run HSM on our HP-UX client system, with optical
storage being used to store the HSM data on our MVS (OS/390) server.

1. It's not clear to me if HSM is available on the HP-UX 10.2 platform.
2. Does ADSM support the new IBM 3995 (WORM) Optical Storage units.
