The process in the RedBooks you indicated below require that you to run the
ADSM client from the "repair" partition. What if a repair is not available?
Is it possible to restore the ENTIRE registry while logged onto the system
that you want to restore the registry to? Whenever I try a REGREST ENTIRE,
I get error message:

ANS1436E Error Occurred replacing the Key.
ANS1431E Registry Restore Function Failed

From the GUI:

ANS7650E An error occurred replacing the registry key
ANS7660E Registry activation failed

What about the setting on the ADSM server for "Copy Serialization". Should
it be set to "Shared Dynamic" to ensure that the entire registry is backed
up?

Another related question: What about when employing the DRM Disk Image Dump
and Restore process? Because it would be impossible to maintain current
disk images, you must restore the "system" partition from the incremental
adsm backup. How can you make sure that the latest registry settings are
restored, without a "repair" partition.

Thanks for any help,

Greg Heis
