AIX Client levels

I was running the AIX client at 2.1.0.5 on all my AIX hosts, which were
AIX 4.1.5.

I found out the AIX sysprog upgraded one of the systems last week to AIX
4.2.1.

The ADSM client continues to work.

Do I need to upgrade to the ADSM 4.2 client?  What is the difference?
