Hi all,

I´m on the way to send events to our TEC from a windows2000 based Netview
(7.1.1).

1)
When sending events manually via command line using the "event" binary, it
is working. I can see the events in the TEC reception log and on the event
console.

2)
When stopping the "netmon" a FATAL event is sent to the TEC console and the
TEC reception log too (message is "netmon probably disconnected from
trapd"). So far everything seems to be OK.

3)
Now the story starts.

In case netview can´t reach an interface, it tries to send an event to the
TEC console, but for some reason it doesn´t succeed, all the time I get the
following error message written to the "nvtecad" logfile.

I looked in the forum´s mail archieve and found a hint to use the "non tme
tec adapter", so I did. I stopped the tecad_nv.exe process running in the
task maanger. I stopped it and restarted it via command line the following
way: tecad_nv6k_non_tme -c \usr\ov\conf\tecad_nv6k.conf

Unfortunately I have to say, that nothing changed, i.e no events get
received by the TEC as still no events can be sent out. Why?

Someone in the list has a clue about it??? Many thanks in advance!!!
