Guys,
I have SQL2005 in production that is not supported on MP2 - I intend to go
to MP5 and upgrade the Master and Media Servers, followed by the clients.

However.... I want to try and verify just HOW essential is it to upgrade the
SAN Media Servers. They run 24 x 7 and downtime is simply a no-no at this
moment in time (run up to Christmas).

But, the SQL 2005 Server is being backed up over the LAN. So could I upgrade
my Master to MP5, leave the 2 SAN Media Servers at MP2 and upgrade the
clients.

Any pros and cons to this? I know Technote state master then media and
clients, but wondered if any real headaches would be caused by just doing
the master first, then the SAN Media at a later date (few weeks).

Thanks

Regards
