We never ran MP2 but we had significant issues with MP3 for which we 
worked closely with NetBackup Engineering and for which we installed 
numerous patches.  We're currently running an early MP4 beta and you may 
be able to get this if you call the support folks (but see below).  It's 
vastly superior to MP3 although the version we have still has some bugs 
that were fixed between our release and the code already checked in for 
the GA release.

The final MP4 is due "real soon now" and we'll be installing it as soon 
as we can get our hands on it.  Given how close the MP4 release is, the 
support folks may be hesitant to put you on the beta MP4 program and I'd 
agree with that - you'll likely be better off waiting a week or two and 
installing MP4 then.  Given the size of your environment, you may want 
to start contacting the support folks now - after all, they'll want to 
know before you upgrade and likely will open a call in advance just in 
case you do have issues.
