[Veritas-bu] NBU GUI very Slow
2005-02-10 00:51:44
hi
No we haven't tried the wins admin client yet but would be trying another
option today :
modify the /usr/openv/java/nbj.conf file:
And change these values to something like:
INITIAL_MEMORY=256M
MAX_MEMORY=512M
Recycle the java console...
As suggested by Kate.....will let u know how it turns out
with regards
jay

Hi,
using the NBU 3.4 on Solaris 8. the GUI, whether it's opened from the
console & through exceed is slow.
noticed that after 1 window is opened (for eg Activity monitor) the
second
window (for eg. Device Monitor window)
takes a long time to open or doesn't open at all
I found this possible workaround on the veritas support site but this
didn't
change the performance
"change the ulimit -n 1024 to a value like ulimit -n 100 in the jnbSA
script."
has anybody faced this problem & solved it
with regards
jay
