Mark,
You may need to run inventory first to update the volume database and tell
NBU that the tapes are no longer in the robot you can also do this manually
by selecting all the volumes in the robotic volume group right clicking,
select move and then change from robot to standalone. Then try re-running
the job.

If this fails or if you have already run inventory then the drives are
probably still configured as robotic drives (you said you had it in AVR but
drives in robots can be AVR) and not standalone which may be adding to the
problem. Change the drives from robot to standalone and retry. If you have a
scratch pool configured it should autolabel the tape (A0000x) and run or
you can always manually label the media in the drive using bplabel, create
that volume in media and device management, change it to the proper volume
pool and retry.

So - I've got this dead library.

I'm trying to get some backups written to a tape drive that I've gotten
connected to NB just to move some stuff from the disk I've been buffering
backups to. I'm running out of disk space and I've got to get some stuff
off to tape somehow. I'm running the tape drive in AVR mode.

When I do a backup job, it's requesting a tape in the dead library to be
mounted rather than grabbing the scratch tape I've got stuffed in the
stand-alone drive. How do I get the job to backup to this specific drive
(the other library drives are DOWN).

Ideas?
