You should run ltid with -v option.
This will log mount/dismount/down drive messages to each
servers /var/adm/messages which will in turn allow you to
trace the cause.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Drive downing (bptm?)
I had a drive go down on the weekend, this is the only reference I can find
to the drive going down:
in bpsched/log.112401
22:18:07 [2287] <4> set_drives_down: set drive <Drive1__STKLIB1> to down
state, bptm did not report drive
I tried to look at the bptm logs to find more information, but there was no
log created for the 24th, suggesting that bptm didn't have anything of note
to report. I looked through the messages and syslog file as well, with
nothing found about this drive downing.
So, why *did* this drive go down. Why didn't bptm report the drive?
