I am practicing restoring files from offsited tapes. The following are the
steps I took:
1. the tape was ejected from the robot by using the xbpadm interface (select
the tape, then Actions->Eject)
2. restore a file that is backed up on the ejected tape. Within the xbpadm
interface, when checking the progress report, it shows:
Sep 10 12:15:37 2001
12:15:39 (1077.xxx) Restore job id 1077 will require 1 image.
12:15:39 (1077.xxx) Media id A00035 is needed for the restore.
12:15:47 (1077.001) Restoring from image created Sun Sep 09 00:08:14 2001
12:15:49 (1077.001) INF - Waiting for mount of media id A00035 on server
admin.
12:15:50 (1077.001) INF - Media id A00035 is not in a robotic library;
administrative interaction may be required to satisfy a mount request.
3. Then I inserted the tape to the mail slot location of the magazine.
4. Now how do I tell NetBackup that the tape with Media id A00035 is in the
mail slot and mount it?
(there is no barcode on the tape)
Thanks a lot for your help.
