Actually 'NMC' should read 'NW Administration'.  Sometimes i am picky but i 
just want to clarify that NW is/must be independent from NMC. The only 
dependency right now is that can only reach the NW admin GUI via NMC. However 
you configure NetWorker as you would have done it 'long ago' via nsradmin.

BTW - what does mean 'long ago'? - NW still behaves the way i have described 
it. It must do so due to compatibility reasons. Just have a look at the 
nsrexecd manpage/CLI. 
That the NW installation routine today uses a different method is a different 
story.
Just have 5 minutes and verify it yourself.
