At $WORK we deal with personal health information that needs to be sent off 
site. It has to be encrypted before it leaves the tape library (it's even 
encrypted on-disk on our NASes and SANs).

Buying and maintaining an KMS appliance is a hassle, so either we have to use a 
library that has that in the firmware, or use backup software that has that 
functionality.

Currently Quantum iScalar libraries do it, and both NetBackup and Commvault 
Simpana do it. It'd be nice if Networker had it built-in, or available as a 
software add on.
