Re: [Networker] nearLine Volume ??

If mminfo -m -q near does not list the volumes,
it means networker is not instructed volumes are online in the
lib and cannot mount them automatically. Media db is neither
updated with volume location.
Please run complete jukebox inventory or at least
slots containing your 3 tapes.
But this means that networker's inventory may
not match physical lib inventory and then not using
all of your tapes.

Objet : [Networker] nearLine Volume ??
Hi,
What is near line volume ?
I have been getting the messages for one of the media pools to manually
mount the tapes when the scheduled backup group runs.
There are 3 tapes allocated to that media pool and all of them are
appendable.
When I ran mminfo -m -q near , it didn't list those tapes in the output.
"Media management" tab under the NW server's properties has following
config.
smart Media Savemount : volume by charactersitics
volume priority: nearLine
What could be the problem ?
My parallelism settings also don't work properly.
Please advice.
