You would have to mount the device as a filesystem and back it up that
way... 

Eg:     mount -F ufs -o ro  /dev/md/dsk/d31    /backup/d31

then specify /backup/d31 as a saveset

Note here that it's really not a very good thing to do if you are
planning to split the mirror while the filesystem is mounted. The
filesystem will not be consistent on disk and you most likely will end
up backing up corrupt data.

With solaris these days you can make ufs snapshots and back those up,
this would probably be a far better solution.
