[Networker] Cannot Decode block on Networker using Windows
2007-01-24 11:02:43
I am currently cloning some old super dlt tapes to our new LTO tapes. I
have completed 12 of 22 tape but i am now getting an error on the rest of
the tapes saying "Cannot Decode block". Apparently this is something to do
with the data on the tape being written in a block size of 128K and windows
only being able to handle 64K max.
Our support people are telling us they need to change a registry setting on
our backup server, i think it is to do with a HBA setting.
I am bit nervous about changing a registry setting to fix this issue, could
anyone else give me some ideas on what to try before i make this change.
Someone outthere must have had this problem with tapes/Legato and Windows
before!
Any help would be much appreciated.
