If I were you, I wouldn't be using g++ on Solaris 10 at all, I'd use Sun
Studio if I could get it.  It produces better code for Solaris,
particularly on Sparc architectures, and it's MUCH easier to get it to
emit a proper 64-bit build for Solaris.
