Did you run the scripts to create the database? Did you start the
database (postgresql or mysql)? Did you start the director? Did you
remove localhost and 127.0.0.1 from all bacula configuration files and
replace these with the external ip address? Do you have a firewall
that could prevent incoming connections to the director and storage
ports?
