Hi, are you sure it is not a keyboard/console issue? Are you on the 
console or using a remote client (ssh?) to
get to the director server? If you are using remote try using Putty, I 
use it all the time with bconsole and it
works great. If not make sure your console settings are good, also if 
there is a job running at the same time
make sure that it is not causing a pause. Check /var/bacula/working/log 
for clues as well.
