Hmm. I never tried it with anything except the SUSE system's I'm 
running in production :-)

Looks like the i18n stuff isn't available on your build system.

You could try ./configure'ing with --without-libintl-prefix or use 
--with-libintl-prefix[=DIR] to point it where the i18n stuff is installed.

If that doesn't work, we need a real developer here :-)
