I renamed the Media Type to match the others. This raises 2 questions:

First, what happens if a file exists on multiple devices? For example,
my DVD files (like a volume with the catalog) as of the date I burned
it. It has since been appended to, so a newer version lives on my
regular disk.

Second, I'm now seeing
Building directory tree for JobId 4230 ...
There were no files inserted into the tree, so file selection
is not possible. Most likely your retention policy pruned the files

(I got this error earlier too). My retention policy likely has nuked
them in the main database. Given that I have a backup of the catalog*,
and the volumes with the files, what's my best move?

Restoring the entire backup would consume a lot of time and space (maybe
more of the latter than I have), so I'd really like to be able to pick
out the subdirectory I want.

Thanks.
Ross

*Specifically, I dumped bacula's database and then backed up that file
in a separate job to a distinct volume.
