Yes, most likely not. You could attach a gdb to the hung prozess, see what it
is doing and file a bug report or patch it by yourself ;-). I'm afraid there
is not much more you can do.

Well and we will postpone the update unless this is solved or maybe start with
a fresh server and a different OS. Over the years the combination FreeBSD and
bacula turned out to be suboptimal.
