Hi Guys,
We're running a TS3100 with a ULT3580-TD4 (LTO4) via SAS (LSISAS1068
controller) as well. We spool all the data locally via rsync then use
bacula directly to tape and disk I/O isn't a problem (16x 750gig SATA
disks in raid 5 (3ware 9550SXU)) , and we're also still only getting
around 25-30mb/sec to tape.
Running Jobs:
JobId 117 Job NightlySave.2008-05-23_08.33.26 is running.

Processing file: /storage/badger/mysql-dbs/order_system.sql.gz
SDReadSeqNo=5 fd=5

Does anyone know, if there is anyway I could increase the blocksize on
the /dev/st driver to speed up performance? Using the IBMtape0 driver
while testing, I've had over 100mb/sec from disk to tape using the
larger block sizes - although this driver doesn't seem to work well with
mt and mtx...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
SG
