Thanks for the comments. In this case I was thinking of making a requirement
for
deliberate backups, i.e. if you want a backup, leave the laptop connected
overnight.
I don't want to run the risk of causing performance issues with backups
starting
during the working day but I also want to minimise manual intervention, so I
think an overnight-only wake-up schedule fits the situation well.
