Thanks Tyler. Its interesting, because the last file showing backing
up is updates (as in /var/lib/dpkg/updates) which is empty. I wonder
if it is because it is empty...This hasn't been an issue in the past,
unless the top level directory requested to be backed up is
empty...Then backuppc would throw up on its shoes...

Yep. Its been hung on this directory for about 15 minutes.
