[BackupPC-users] Changing Backup Location
2010-06-28 23:00:37
Hello,
I'm new to backuppc and having a problem with changing where backups are to be
stored.
I am running Kububtu 10.04 with the official Ubuntu BackupPC install.
I changed the topdir entry in /etc/backuppc/config.pl from the original setting
of /var/lib/backuppc to my preferred location on a USB drive at
/media/mydisk/backuppc. The drive is mounted correctly and the directory exists.
On rebooting and attempting to connect to backuppc via my browser, after
logging on I get a message'Error:Unable to connect to backuppc server'.
Changing the line in config.pl back to the original, allows things to run
correctly again.
As I don't wish to save the backups at the default location, how do I overcome
this?
Thanks
