Thanks for this. More checking of something so critical as a backup is 
always a Good Thing.

Alas, in my case it was my first backup that was stalling, so there weren't 
yet any attributes collected.

I've now successfully collected a backup from the problem machine and it 
seemed to push through once I added enough exceptions for overly-long 
filenames on the client (mostly stuff down in the IE temp files directories 
of all the users). It was then a matter of being patient and letting the 
system hum for a few hours before data appeared. (I didn't time it, just 
left it running while attending to other duties and found the backup done 
the next day.)

I now seem to be collecting incrementals regularly.
