Hi,

I am currently using the deprecated method noted in the wiki howto to backup AFS volumes. It seems to work and I have rebuilt the amanda RPMS from source to incorporate the gtar-wrapper.pl that is part of the amanda-afs package as well as built an amanda-afs RPM and required it as a dependency of my amanda packages. Amrecover doesn't seem to like whatever gtar-wrapper does but the volume backups are there on tape and I can restore them with amrestore.

However I've decided to take the advice from the howto link and ask on this list: Is anyone else doing this? Is there an Application API application now available to do this instead? I'd probably be willing to put some effort into helping out with any such project.

thanks,
Ben
