Hey,

I've been using amanda for years now to backup linux boxes on
my home network. Data is written to vtapes on a 3ware RAID-1.
I recently upgraded the OS on one of the amanda clients, which
might be related to what I'm seeing here.

The problem: I just noticed that amverifyrun is not verifying the
entire run -- the recently upgraded host is never verified.

Not sure how long it's been doing this. I have to admit I've
merely been reading the first couple lines of the amverify report
email:

Tapes:  daily-40
No errors found!

When I see "No errors found," I stop reading. :-)

That looks just fine, except there is no mention of godel.dmurray.int -- the
host I recently upgraded. I know amanda is dumping godel, because
it says so in the amdump email, snippet follows:

I've also verified that there are godel dumps on the amanda server. And
I just did a test amrecover of /opt/cvs. The files look okay, though
tar did print
a lot of acl warnings like this:
